This project is a contract
to design, construct, equip, commission and maintain the
498-bedded hospital.
The hospital is designed to an efficient medical center
with world-class facilities and equipped with high tech
equipment to reflect the best international medical practice
principles of modern healthcare.
It is to be a model hospital for the Malaysians in the
21st century. |
The hospital
will have the capacity to expand to 700 beds. It will
include:
- 1 main hospital and ward block
- 1 podium hospital block
- 1 ward tower block
- 7 blocks of residential apartments and quarters
This project has been undertaken on a 30-month accelerated
schedule as compared to the normal 40-month schedule
for projects of a similar nature.
At the end of 2003, SPK has achieved an accelerated
completion rate of 65%, instead of the scheduled 61%.
